2024 OFFISHALL Vancouver-Howe Sound-Sechelt Reports Thread

Went out Wednesday for an afternoon shift - left the dock around 12:30 headed for Sandheads. Couldn't make it out of the harbour. At idle speed my nose was dipping into each wave. Such tight chop, probably 4-5 footers. I'm sure things would've improved as I exited English bay but I chickened out and fished the cap. Just 2 wild coho's for my efforts. One other guy out there said he landed a chinook. Flattened right out around 3pm but was too late for me to change locations.

Would appreciate an update if you make it to sand heads. We are in a 16 ft boat so going to launch at Wellington point and fish sturgeon till it calms down on the straight. Hoping to get into a few salmon this evening.

SH is lumpy. 4-5 footers. It’s blowing 10-15. Not fit for 16 ft. I’ve taken a few over my bow. Fish are here tho.
