Thanks I have a question how do you make it for your cannonball doesn’t get caught on bottom because if you have the bungee attached to the cannonball won’t it still get stuck on bottom
After you lose the first 5, you'll learn to stop doing that. Thanks I have a question how do you make it for your cannonball doesn’t get caught on bottom because if you have the bungee attached to the cannonball won’t it still get stuck on bottom
Maybe they've moved over to the hump now. It's about that time. All right, who turned off the switch? After an epic day on Friday, Feb 28th that was as good as any day I’ve experienced in August I haven’t been able to entice another keeper around Entrance, the Grande or Porlier. In spite of forecasts to the contrary, the weather cooperated enough to allow a couple of hours on Monday, a full pull Tuesday and a 3/4 day Wednesday with nothing but a few undersized and some shakers.
At least the prawning was decent inside the islands although we threw as many smalls back as better ones we kept. A good omen for a month from now.
Someone please tell me the tide cycles or horoscope or whatever will bring the fish back for another round before March 31st. lol

Pretty epic water you had though; I was jealous going by on the ferryYep, pretty quiet over at Entrance today. Dropped in at 930 and had a couple hits right away. One 60cm released and then a nice fat 12lb (25lb SFBC) ruby red on a 602 over a kone zone. Then the tide changed and it shut right off. Fished until 12:30 then called it. I also had something take my hoochie and run it under a rock or something. Massive hit, line pulling, go to pop the clip and my rod explodes. Tried reeling with no rod and the line snaps off too with my gear. It definitely wasn't bottom at first. Rigger wasn't hung up at all. Prawns and crab heading home were incredible. Amazing day as always.
Man was it something else. What a perfect little window that was. Windfinder nailed itPretty epic water you had though; I was jealous going by on the ferry![]()

To cross? Under an hour from the dock to lines in the water. How long for you on a good day like that..?
We were there too. We were fishing out of my 18' Silverstreak. Caught 1 nice red Spring about 8 lbs. Long line release on another that seemed like a nice fish. Silver with red strip flasher and a copcar like spoon with a red strip. Can't remember the name. Beauty fishing conditions. Nice to get out this side and able to stand up without holding on for dear life.Yep, pretty quiet over at Entrance today. Dropped in at 930 and had a couple hits right away.
