2025 Ucluelet Fishing Reports

We were out to the long beach 'bank' yesterday. It was slow for us.
Moved out to the SW corner and picked up 3 Chinook to 15 and 2 coho

How's everyone making out? Heading to Ukee on Sunday for a week. Will update as we can as I'm sure we'll bouncing around a bit.

Fished Wya on Monday clouds of bait in tight and non stop spring action , lots of small ones but got our limit of nice sized keepers. Went back Tuesday , very little bait and no fish around. Moved straight out offshore about 6 miles and caught springs and halibut
Sorry, where is Wya?

Pulled into Wya on Sunday on the flood tide. Good amount of bait but no fish. Red Can produced a decent number of fish but nothing big for us. Same story at Long Beach.

Hearing the same thing from a friend who has been out there all week. Fish are around but the size is not there with the springs just yet. The charters are definitely hammering some nice ones off shore.

Should start seeing some nice sized springs roll in any day now. I'm headed over tomorrow for a week and will update as I can.

Was out front between Blackrock and Red Can early this morning for a couple hrs in the swell. A bit further out in 130 to 150 ft of water. Beautiful full moon while setting up but seemed not so good for the bite. Not even a sniff for us. Lots of boats out but didn't see any action. Hope the bite came on for those who stuck it out.

Very good action this morning right out front. Over 10 good bites in about 2 hrs - landed 6 which ranged in size from 10lb (a feeder) to touching 20lb. Bait was hot. Anchovy in bloody nose teaser. In about 150 of water. No bait to really note of and nothing in stomachs other than maybe some small sandlance or similar.

Ucluelet is hopping with people despite limited reports. Forrest Gump rain sent me home a day early. There are springs everywhere, but lots of people are finding success at Wya.
I got all mine inside due to wind on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday I went back to Meares, released a pile of coho, lost a few decent chinooks, shook a few smalls then hit Sail Rock on the way back. Game on in 120 fow 85 -95 down on the open ocean side of the rock. O11r hoochie with silver mylar beat the spoon. Lots of coho there too, especially out deeper. 50ft.

Fished out of Ukee 9-14. Big Bank was the ticket and Swale at afternoon High tide for large Chinook. So many chunky Coho offshore. Spoons and weeG did well all Over. Cop car hit and run with blue flasher crushed it. Small Anchovy with red Flasher did well inside. Offshore if you want limits.
