Pushed off at Milltown at 8 and ran into 3 tugs pulling log booms blocking us off from the fuel dock so took the scenic route around them to fuel up. Dropped at the Bell just after 9 and started tacing east in 120 to 150 FOW zones. Great steady action in the sun hitting on all passes scraping bottom and by 10:30 we were pulling up lines to go catch lunch and a caesar with a 64cm, 76cm and 78cm in the box. The big ones were cookie cutter whites with empty stomachs. We had someone who rarely winter fishes in our party today who now thinks it’s always this good. Awesome day.

weird theres white springs around isnt it usually just reds around
 
Left milltown this morning at 1030 and headed to the mile markers. Followed the 120-150’ contours for a couple hours, conditions were excellent. Hooked five and kept a 65 and 70cm. Some of the fish were suspended around 90’, the rest on bottom. The bigger fish was a red with a medium anchovy in its belly, the other fish was red in the centre and white near the outside. I caught one that looked identical a few weeks back and it tasted amazing. I can only describe it as buttery, it was one of the best salmon I’ve ever eaten. Overall a wonderful day on the water.

Nice filleting job! I can’t recall seeing a red with white on the edges. It seems to me that the whites do have a higher oil content.

Nice. Never seen it done with a chainsaw before.
 
Was out today. Left Port Moody before noon. Had the ramp to myself. Fished out past the freighters. Caught one at about 80' there was bait around and I think there fish may have been suspended. AP Herring 3" in Neon Army Truck caught the fish. Beauty day.
