No chum for us yesterday, surprisingly, as my guest had a few anchovies, thinking chum would prefer bait.

No seals either where we were trolling, (green can guide tack) the suggestion was that the seals have followed the fish up the river. Thankfully this recent wave of trophy chinook have showed up to fill that void.

Tried dropping the crab traps this morning, but the stock is still wiped out from commercial activity. Threw my guest rods out to kill time as they soaked, no retention planned, let a chunky chinook and a disgusting looking chum go, both on Bon Chovy nickel finish Skinny G and silver super Betsy. Near the west mile marker and the nearest freighters.

Sandheads today was a chum show. Those guys kept stealing our bait so we Finally tried something different. White hoochies at 120. 3 nice chinook in short order , 27lb the biggest.

Long time no post. went out Saturday to Sandheads. Started around 7:30 a.m . Amazing day to say the least.
15 lb spring right of the bat. A red to boot.
Then 2 Tyee on large herring not too long after.. A 31 and 34 pounder. (In the smoker now)
Released 7 beautiful large wild Coho. Then 2 chum & a hatch Coho.
Great way to end that fishery, for me anyway..
On to winters now..... thanks for all your posts guys. Tight Lines !

Had what can only be described as an epic few hours at Sandheads. Had a triple header of Big Springs (20,28 and 36 lbs) and landed them all. And steady action of numerous other Springs, Chums and Cohos. Finished with a 45 pounder! Had intended to let it go however completely swallowed the hooks. What a fishery it has been this Fall.
