Quaffed back with a great Merlot sipped from the glass I had commissioned to celebrate that hunt:

Cheers Indeed!

A good Buddy dropped off a nice bag of Magnum Prawns yesterday.
So, skewered them up right away and dropped onto a hot BarBee.
Maple Bacon wrapped Scallops done in the oven at the same time.

Served up with a fresh Avocado ranch Salad, Avocado and of course a fine wine.

Comfort food on a dreary & rainy eve.

Cheers

New addition to the back deck. Pitt Boss dual cooker. One side is a pellet smoker that can go to nice low temps if needed for low and slow smoking, other side is a flame grill that can do nice hot barbecuing and charbroiling. Can also open a gate between the two so you can smoke as your barbecuing too.
Should help kick the dinners up a notch.

Nice to finally be settled in on the island. Enjoying seeing these critters often.

No Food in this post, but there will be soon!

My birthday is coming up soon.
She Who Rules surprised me today: Stop by my work for a second when you are out today.
Yep

Got there and two burly young men were waiting at the door with a rather large box which they promptly slid into the back of my SUV.
Happy Birthday they both said at once, immediately parroted by my Lady as she wandered over with a big grin.
What the hell?

Our old BarBee needs a little bit of TLC to keep it going strong.
Instead, The Missuz decided it was time for a new three burner (instead of four) heavy duty stainless replacement.
She's a BEAUT! And the BarBee ain't bad either!

There will be some fine offerings coming from this one soon methinks!

Called a buddy and told him he can simply have the older one if he wants.
Pick it up tomorrow was his reply.

Win Win!

Cheers,
Nog

Looking forward to the food **** shots off the new bbq .

Marinated pork chops on the new Pitt Boss smoker/grill.
Smoked on looooow for a bit then char grilled hoooot.

So juicy, smokey and delicious. Best marinade I've made yet for pork.

Here's the marinade recipe. I don't measure anything, just go by what I feel is good.

Extra virgin olive oil, apple juice concentrate, honey, cloves of garlic chopped, smokey sweet mustard, fresh thyme, onion chopped, lemon juice, werchestirshire sauce, red wine vinegar, salt and pepper, Chipotle powder, pork/chicken BBQ seasoning mix, homemade sweet smokey paprika.
