You thinking to lower the scuppers? 8 inch seems like plenty I’m no expert but I’d think you go lower without out issues. My scuppers are just above the waterline on my boat, not saying that’s the ideal or perfect location but I’ve had no issues with water

Yes my 26 Wellcraft was the same scuppers just cleared the waterline. Not clear as I zoomed right in but you can see where they sat.

mine look to be 1 inch above the water line. Others have heavier engine combos than me and get wet feet. I don’t

I would like to go as low as possible, need to find that sweeet spot

Some progress from today,
We left the deck for now, the easy part cutting it is over ,
While thinking about the deck and drain measurements we started preparing the exterior for painting. At the beginning of the project I wasn’t sure how far we are going to go into the paint job or gel coat or the difference between them both. Now that I convinced Ron to do the whole boat he said he can paint it any colour my wife wants… oh boy,

While picking up some more plywood, I can across a fresh batch of teak, I opened it up and to my surprise it was the closest matching pattern to my original. I might have to pick some up so I have something to do at 130 in the morning

Got the pod lined up, templet made.
The pod doesn’t sit perfectly straight on the transom, the pod is bowed a bit, with a 1/4 gap at the centerline. Ideally I would want it straight but the glass should flex right into position?

The pod, part of me wants to grind it, part of me wants to send it back to the guy, none of me wants to install it the way it is, pretty pissed off, this type of stuff is what’s gona set me back, was going to install the pod today.

Yes I can, I think that’s the only option now , the main beam is straight but seems to curve in on both ends at the last 8 or so inches, i can definitely make the fit way better just with grinding down that area.
This mounting is so important, as much as would like to drill the transom today, I m gona sleep on it,

That’s 100% the pod builders fault. Before you do anything, at least make it known to whoever built it. You shouldnt have to grind anything down to make it work. You can’t grind that much off the pod. It’s probably 1/4” material used to frame it up. There would be nothing left to secure it.

I'd give your pod guy the chance to step up. We all screw up... it's all about how we handle it. Clearly missed the mark. Not a good idea forcing the transom, especially with that step preventing it from flexing. You have enough other stuff to keep you occupied, shouldn't hold you up too much. My 2 bits.... Gluck!

I was shut down on a daily basis with Awesome ideas to get carpet and upholstery with anchors or fish patterns. I decided to give up and listen to the wife’s suggestions and we both decided on something simple and classic

And I’m also being generous with the measurement, in reality it needs 3/16 grinded off each end tapering down about a foot in at both ends. That leaves 1/16 ?!?!? Ya that’s not going to work

Right now the scuppers are mounted 8” above the water line and the deck sits one inch above them. One inch is not enough. IMO 6 inches above the water is plenty, not sure if 4” would cut itView attachment 76374

I would suggest you need to install the scupper at least 3 inches about the water lines to compensate for extra weight over the transom. Also highly recommend the ping ping ball scuppers

I think you are right, that’s looking like the magic number , that would put them 5” below the deck
