I’d drop the deck low as possible, or as close as you can to have the gunnel’s at thigh height so you can comfortably and safely lean into them. This will make setting gear on the riggers, crab trapping and netting fish so much nicer. Will also be much safer feeling for kids. Nice be be standing close to the water line as after a long day in the water it’s just more comfortable on the body and the mind/brain. Be nice to have smoother access into the cabin. That being said do what’s reasonable, and storage under would still be very nice. Fish holds, gear storage, cooler space perhaps. It would be nice to be able to store one of the big 165qt coolers on the swim grid also but not sure how’s that’s possible with the outboards rigging
