2025 OFFISHALL Vancouver- Howe Sound-Sechelt Fishing Reports Thread

North of the Bell and Mile markers today. Got into coho around low tide. A few boats out. Hatchery and wild. All good size. All on bait. 50-80' and one on the surface while setting gear. This one was for the kids and brother and law. We rafted up boats and I jumped between boats setting gear. Was unorthodox....but very fun. My daughter and her friend brought a bunch in all on their own. They were pumped. So great to see.

Decent day out there, fished 12-6, T10 then SH. Never really got into a good bite window but slow steady action thru the day. Boxed 2 springs (low teens) 2 hatch coho and a fairly clean pink. Released a couple beauty wild coho 10+lb, and lost a couple decent fish. Busted out the traps for the first time in a while and got a couple keepers too. Nice variety pack kinda day.

I have a feeling that tomorrow is going to be hot, early in the morning. High tide is 6:00am. Very dark night, overcast and no moon, and lots of rain. Tomorrow morning might be good action.

I’m hopeful, the last couple days have been slow for us overall compared to the last 4 years… more small fish (unders) then I’ve caught before. Question is sandheads on the ebb or run north? We’ll be off the water before the flood starts.

Heading out with kiddo towards T10/Sandheads for slack tide. Anybody out there this morning? Looks like the wind has shifted 180 degrees (ESE early, now NW) out in the Straight. How're conditions?

Got a truck load of snacks, salted anchovies, and white hootchies.
Kids and fishing. Magical. Rain will stop soon.

SH was barely fishable, piles of seaweed and my partners stomach pushed it over to Un.

T10 looked workable but she couldn’t come back from the sickness. Forecast was correct

Pushed off from the foot of the sound at 11:30 heading towards T10 and SH. Once we hit the Harbour knew that wasn’t in the cards and stopped at the BB. Did 1 pass in the following seas past the mile markers turned the boat to see how the tac into the oncoming seas was going to look. Pulled up lines after 3 minutes and tuck tailed back to the marina at 10 knots taking spray over the brow the whole way. Shame ate our lunch and snacks in the car on the way home while conspiring on how many days we are going to catch the afternoon/evening floods this week.
