What a difference a day makes. Decided last minute to try for an evening bite. Got out around 4:30 and headed straight to the green can hoping for some chunkers. Dropped our usual gear and the pink show was on. Tried deeper, more pinks. Tried different gear further out, more pinks. Finally hooked into one nice white in 300 FOW on a Pesca spoon at 100'. So we switched to spoons and boy oh boy then the baby show started. Shaker after shaker, little jacks all over the place. I burnt out quick and ended up dropping a clip overboard while trying to adjust it's position. Then we snapped off a snubber, 18lb ball and clip on seamingly nothing. Just wasn't our night. Got a little too cocky I guess, the gods had to knock me back down a little. Still an amazing night on the water though, especially the nap I took while Marco cleaned up. I'm hoping for some redemption soon.
