2025 OFFISHALL Vancouver- Howe Sound-Sechelt Fishing Reports Thread

On another salmon page, there’s a report that Sand heads was producing some hatchery coho and many Chinook in the 20 pound range. Also a DFO boarding occurrence with the person who made the report.
😂

Out at SE Bowen (Cowan Pt to Apodaca Cove) on Sunday afternoon around 15:00hrs. 2 hatchery coho in less than 30 minutes.

Took sister out on Monday afternoon at SE Bowen and caught only weeds (lots!!) and 1 wild coho. Several other boats but no action.

Out this morning at sunrise near Whirlcombe until 08:15hr. Release 5 wilds. A few lost fish. No keepers

I guess the take-away is that on this side of the straight the coho aren't thick yet

This time of year when the weather finally arrives also brings you wind, waves, and weeds.

Yeah I’ve probably fished Bowen once in June/July the past few seasons. I’m on team “cross the pond.” Much more consistent and you can grab a ling too. Easier when you can bury the fuel cost in business expenses too lol.
