2025 OFFISHALL Vancouver- Howe Sound-Sechelt Fishing Reports Thread

Long-time lurker; first time poster. Would first like to thank all the posters for fishing reports that are both informational and inspirational. Fished Sand Heads Thursday 1430 - 1815 with 1 line anchovy, 1 line lures at 95 ft in 200 - 250 FOW.
Anchovy: 1 CN 15 lbs kept, 1 big COw released, 1 CN ~20lbs lost at the boat.
Whi Hoochie: 1 big COw released
Bait > Lures that day.

Caught the calm window, hit sandheads 12:30-2:30 kinda slow but made the best of it, kiddo went 2 for 2 then it chopped up so we bombed across for the overnight. Dropped in quick on the other side, and he pulled up a decent ling. I didn’t even get a rod down. Then decided to call it a day.

Fished Sandheads 7:30 to 11 this morning. Kept 3 chinooks in the low teens, all whites, all on anchovies. One at 55’, two at 75’. Best action out deeper on 250’ - 300’ contours.

Had another 5 or 6 on that we didn’t manage to land (some new fishers onboard) in the first 90 minutes of fishing. Didn’t see most of them so they may have been coho.

Bite died off by around 9:15 and tried to grind out another few fish on the rising tide to no avail. Saw lots of fish on early but didn’t seem like anyone was hooking up after 9:30 or so.

Wonder if anyone else had any luck and if the slack high around 11 was fruitful.

Really hate to hear Canadians using crazy US political buzzwords. We are better than that.
The term has been around for a lot longer than the current crazy situation in the US.
Coming from someone who has been a Federal Liberal supporter his entire life until Trudeau came around I feel that statement was justified as the true Liberal party currently is no more.

But that's enough politics, any new fishing reports?

but have you ever asked yourself if things would be for the sport fishing sector if the Liberals were not in power? DFO’s direction comes from the top.

Fishe sandheads 9:30-1pm. A bit lumpy on the way out but laid right down pretty quick. Picked up a 16lb white at 90’ right away but slow otherwise. Released several big wild hos and a few gnarly pinks. Hardware was out fishing bait for me, and a guy at the cleaning station said all his fish were on green hoochies and chovies were slow. They had a 23lb chinook and three nice coho.
