2025 OFFISHALL Vancouver- Howe Sound-Sechelt Fishing Reports Thread

Managed to get out yesterday and bonked a nice fat 78cm close to home, 3 small herring in its belly. Great weather and flat seas. Still trying to figure out prawning as I ended up with 2 prawns and some shrimp for hauling 2 sets of 400ft rope by hand lol. If anyone can point me in the right direction for prawns it would be much appreciated..

The best place to get them is close to home.

I look for the cluster of 10-15 round buoys and just plant my traps right on ‘em ;)

Meh sounds like thrasher to me
I think you might be correct. That being said, I accept Rain City’s challenge and will go out this Saturday and see for myself. Looks like good conditions for a smooth crossing. I’ll share any details of interest. I was out at Seymour Bay this past weekend and didn’t even get a sniff, so I’m definitely due!
