2024 OFFISHALL Vancouver-Howe Sound-Sechelt Reports Thread

Left milltown this morning at 1030 and headed to the mile markers. Followed the 120-150’ contours for a couple hours, conditions were excellent. Hooked five and kept a 65 and 70cm. Some of the fish were suspended around 90’, the rest on bottom. The bigger fish was a red with a medium anchovy in its belly, the other fish was red in the centre and white near the outside. I caught one that looked identical a few weeks back and it tasted amazing. I can only describe it as buttery, it was one of the best salmon I’ve ever eaten. Overall a wonderful day on the water.
Some people (me included) refer to the fish with Red & white flesh as “marbles”. Not uncommon with September Chinooks at Sandheads.

Same here. Double header with 2 just understand and then this 76er at the bell. Lots of bait here.
