I used a piece of fillet off a 15lber. Pulled the bones, took off the skin and a bit of the brown meat and cut into about 3cm pieces. Prepared the veg and some garlic and ginger. Sauteed the fish for about 90 secs per side, then transfered to a bowl. Added a bit more oil, stir fried the veg, dumped in the sweet and sour sauce to get hot, put the salmon back in and gently folded and served. The pieces of fish stayed together well. Very tasty, but will try a homemade sauce next time. VH sauce was okay, but tasted like store bought. We had a veg chow mein with it.

Anyone have tips on wokking with a Gas stove? The heat on our bigger burners on this new stove hits the wok too far up the sides. The smaller burners are not as powerful. The cast iron pans are working better for Chinese until I find a gizmo to bring the heat inward.

Awesome! beauty Brisket (method pls), Love ur side dishes , and that knife , Granton edge victorknox ? Next brisket sale we are in!

Wet brined smoked Coho , used the smoked carcass meat for cream cheese n asparagus penne !

Herbed flour and Panko crusted Albacore Tuna loin and Spring Salmon, baked/broiled King Shrimp with herbs, spices, garlic, butter, white wine, lemon, fresh dill and habanero jack cheese, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, homemade coleslaw, homemade tartar sauce and Hawaiian sweet rolls.

First time i did the Tuna this way and it was amazing. The family liked it so much they asked for more the next day. High heat oil so the outside was crisp golden brown and inside very moist.

Buy Low has Alberta Prime Rib on sale right now.

Eight HUGE 1.5" steaks (once home & cut) for less than 70 clams works for me!

First one was up last night...

Well lived up to it's reputation!

Cheers,

That looks amazing. This is a bit of a rookie question but whats the process for turning the prime rib into a steak? Just slice into 1 1/2" steaks or is there more to it? I want to jump on this deal...
