Got home from work first, which never happens, so grabbed a couple jars of salmon we canned in the summer, going to turn them into chowder with potatoe brioche buns, paired with a nice white wine. Hopefully it gets me to Home plate, wish me luck

I bought the 10.5 quart princess auto fish fryer last year for $36. I thought it might work for reducing maple syrup (it does). Lead melting should be okay. Ya ya different pots. Doing fish and double cooked Belgian fries worked very well. It's nice to get the grease and smell outside, and do fries and fish in one large batch each.

Souvlaki, Greek salad, pita, homemade tzatziki and I tried my hand at making calamari from scratch. A bit of work, but anything worth eating deserves some time. Bigger squid would have been better, but have no idea where to find them.
