The OFFISHAL Vancouver 2011 Reports Thread

Maybe I should come out in November for that last big bunch ................... lots of boats and gear but only say one fish taking in 5 hours and it was a rock and roll run back to the North Arm from the Cap ......... time to start the winter modifications on the boat LOL

Hey Clint good to see you out there, it was a real bumpy ride back , one of my worst of the season. No bites for us either, I think the current was too much today.

Sorry I didnt get ahold of you when i left but I called a few times on the VHF but maybe I was out of range, Your right frick it was lumpy I took a few waves over the canopy and had to slow down from 30 mph to about 12 mph , a normal 20-25 min run to the North arm was close to an hour. I saw a few larger boats take the turn from the harbour towards the N arm and then just do a 360 and return to the harbour, just to ugly and the sun was so bright off the water a guy couldn't tell what was in front , I hate that with all the logs in the water lately ...
To bad about the fishing but if I do get out I am going to fish the QA next time (or even the S arm) , over the past years I have always lucked into the fish there and when that wind comes in from the north west, its a nice ride back LOL
Nice to see you back on the water and good luck out there and maybe we'll pass by with double hitters next time LOL

Unreal morning out there today, just me and one friend, limited on 20+lb springs, 2 each, lost a fifth to a long battle with a seal but was happy to get my flasher AND teaser head back from him eventually. Couple more bites ripped the bait apart and it cooled off as the she started to ebb. RIGHT ON!

All Whites.
Confirmed kill on a 51 last teusday off the Bell.
Sadley not by me. Never discount the Bell this time of year............

I'd like to see a picture of that said 51 lber. Whoever got it is definitely keeping a low profile.... and congrats to the angler.

all whites for us, back out tomorrow AM with the infamous "Pippen"!

I think Scott is putting his life in your hands...I've seen and heard about your nautical navigation skills. Steer well clear of a Whaler with a large American flag...

Can't tell if you're joking or serious FM..

My ability to get the right roll on a piece of bait in the right place at the right time make up for my "nautical and navigational skills" however.

Hell with demco99 catchin skills who cares if he has any other skills, I'd just like to have him on my boat when there is a tourney on .... JK , boating safety is important but catching fish comes in at a very very close second. LOL
Whaler .... nice boat too ....... but I think demco99 has a secret weapon he's not disclosing like a pet seal or something LOL
Nice to see some pics or do I have to start taping again , PICTURES PEOPLE !!!!
LOL

!

Looked just like that again this morning.....but the weather turned on us at about 9:30 or 10:00.

Couple nice teenage whites......lost one or two on the hook set.....and had a NICE fish get wrapped up in a guy's rigger. There was a nice sized tail hanging out of the water and he being solo didn't want (was having trouble) to net it for us as it was right there at his ball. That fish hit.....and peeled line from me like crazy....we were just starting to chase it down and then it hit the rigger.........crapola!!!!
