OFFICIAL 2015 Vancouver-Howe Sound-Sechelt Reports Thread

The trap turned out to be a square cage crab trap. We brought it on board. There is a faded phone number on it. Will phone it later. If no answer I'll post info on the forum later. Fishing has been slow since last fish. We moved over by Hudson Rocks. Will try here for a bit then move to the Fingers if nothin here. See you guys at Silva Bay!

Is it Derby Time? Shhhh lol. Can someone give us a morning report? Thinking about heading over to thrasher tomorrow am....

Thrasher has started to calm down. Slow fishing, boxed a 20 on cop car 177' on the riggers. And the sun is shining.

Yup definitely slower. We got the one yesterday at the cliffs and one this morning when we got out at 10 30 am at the same spot but nothing since. Heard on the radio a few fish caught at thrasher and grande by others guys too. Both the ones we got were on anchovies.

Thanks for the reports Canso and CD.
Wats up with the slowness?
I have found that moon phase plays a role in the past... I should check it out...
Mabe the evening will serve a better bite!
Good Luck boys!

Going out for the first time this year tomorrow. Launching at Mc Donald Park mid morning. Question is to fish 'The Hump' or go across to Thrasher? Any recommendations? TF

The hump had slowed down. Weather looks a bit windy to cross tomorrow though...

At thrasher now (7:45 am) 1-2 ft chop. Released 1 undersized. Long line release of another with some weight. 120-140 ft green spatter back hootch / kitchen sink spoon. Saw the shine box show up. Nice looking boat. And released another just now.

We were at Epsom also Sunday morning. Buddy and I kept 3. 8,15 and 18. The 18 was a clipped red. Anything purple seemed to work. Lost my favorite purple onion to one fiesty hog tho.
