Will go over the hali at the area meeting or let know when u have time for call and I can go over it .Fair point Derby,
I'm one of those people who travel around, but when I do, the fish I catch would be added to that area's total would it not?
I don’t believe they allow a carryover if we are under. If they did this it might open the door to that? Also might need IPHC approval?Somebody suggested leaving it closed for a year, maybe not a bad idea considering the options that remain.
Dressed, in the round about 29 lbs
Easy decision to keep the little ones if you got 10 per license, two or more licenses per boat/family.That’s well above the average size that was retained last year
Yup, 29 lbs more than meThat’s well above the average size that was retained last year

Short answer is NoJust maybe an odd question but are these quota's for everyone?
We did it years back, used to be 88/12, PM came to Comox I believe on Easter weekend to save John Duncans butt in that election. Told us he would get us more TAC. if we voted Conservative. We did and with a swipe of a pen we got more TAC. It can be done again, people just have to rally together and that seems to be the hardest part. Not many want to get their hands dirty anymoreThe time is NOW for the public fishery (rec sector) to push hard to get more than 15% of the TAC!! They did in in WA state we can do the same here!
It is a no brainer that the public fishery generates more way money for the economy then the commercial sector does when it comes to the halibut fishery. This is what we need to push our politicians for.
A huge thank you to all of you volunteersThat was 8 months of my life and time I will never get back again.. Would be about the right timing some new blood doing the heavy lifting and actually see sport fisherman work together not against each other.
