Looks like your only error was not trolling in tight to those other boats to try and pass him off to them!

those boats followed me from the bell too!Seemed like they also found a few fish, a bit deeper than me. I stuck to 90-120 fow, custom bent copcar skinny g did most of the damage today. I did get someone’s nice west coast flasher and flash fly setup somehow while getting sealed, I don’t have this color, nice to add to the collection instead of losing gear LoL

Ah the ocean… Seal takes your fish and then gives you a nice little gift. This is why Mother Nature is a she… treat her with love and respect but she’s unpredictable you never know what you’re gonna get!

Speaking of fishing attire, swells is selling used mustang survival suits for 75 bucks

Small and medium sizes only. They do have a rack with some other sizes, but there’s a tourist boat they have for sale, and the last one they sold the buyers wanted some suits with it. So they might be hanging onto them in case.

We bought a tape 30 years ago in Port Renfrew and did not see much if any difference in the seal or sea lion attention but 1 day we saw a pod of orcas 300 yards away in deep water and we cranked it wide open and within 30 seconds a big male made a 90 degree turn toward us and came fast at least 100 yards closer. We shut it off and threw it away.
Very slow at waterfall yesterday. One 40cm in about 4 hours. Went to Tunstall, passed the heards of sea lions sinking docks, and after an hour hooked into a beauty. 200 fow, 240 on the riggers, trolling fast. Unfortunately after a few minutes - the line starts peeling out. Whiskers has found it. We fought whiskers - chasing him down and “encouraging” him to drop the fish. We lost the battle. Need new tools in the arsenal for when this happens. Bear bangers? Roman candles (jk)?

Oh I have been googling it, trying to figure out something legal that we can do about whiskers, so far bring a native friend along is the only thing half legal I figured out,

should be alright to fish the falls just a question is where u going to launch could be a bumpy ride if heading across to bowen on the south side
