South Bowen would be 4 pinks and 2 hatchery coho per license.
Hope I got that right and passed the test otherwise I'm in for a beating.

got it wrong 4 fish limit per person 2 coho 2 pinks or 3 pinks and 1 coho or 4 pinks coho limit is 2 per person pinks is 4 per son limit if just keeping pinks

Subject: FN0810-RECREATIONAL - Salmon - Sockeye - Areas 11 to 15, 17 to 20, 111, 121, 123 to 127, and Subareas 16-1, 16-19 to 16-21, 28-1, 28-2, 28-7 - Opening - Effective August 16, 2025

Effective 00:01 hours August 16, 2025, until 23:59 August 24, 2025, the daily limit of Sockeye salmon is four (4) in the following waters:

- Areas 11 to 15;
- Subareas 16-1 and 16-19 to 16-21;
- Areas 17 to 20;
- Subareas 28-1, 28-2 and 28-7;
- Areas 111 and 121, 123 to 127.

Effective 00:01 hours August 25, 2025, the daily limit for Sockeye salmon reverts back to zero (0) per day in all waters listed above.

I wasn't expecting a sockeye salmon opening this year. Good to see numbers doing well. I had trailer issues on the island coming home last week so it's at Hub City in Nanaimo getting fixed up for me to pick up Monday. Wish they would have opened Sandheads Sockeye. I made this video a couple months ago from 2022 not expecting a sockeye opening this year. Just thought I'd post it incase anyone still trying to figure out how to catch them before the closing.

I sure hope they give us a decent opening in 29-3/4 next year if the run size is good.

Might take a run out for pinks before Sept, but I'll see you out there in Sept!

Great start today. Don’t know what was hit but knocked one of the prop fins off. Nothing hit underside of the boat and nothing floated back up after.

Then got skunked on pinks and 7 undersized crab. And Indian arm is a complete gong show with so many people

We don’t have anything like the Gulf islands over here to run to, so Indian arm is very busy on the weekends. We need more patrol there though.

Fisheries and rcmp boat was out. It’s still a mess. Im surprised more people don’t get killed there on days like today. I won’t go back until it gets colder out and 80% of the boats/kayaks/SUPs get put away
