2025 OFFISHALL Vancouver- Howe Sound-Sechelt Fishing Reports Thread

Fished Gower & Byng today, Nothing in the slot for springs, just smalls working deep. Fair amount of Cohos and a few pinks. Took two hatch, there some good size cohos deep (167’) off bottom for what ever reason. Good amount of bait off byng. Tide and wind was annoying to say the least

nice 167 feet down thats deep for coho how big were your coho

Puter issues lol- prob going to scratch bottom around roberts creek tomorrow see what happens- afternoon/ eve fish will report

Fished RC from noon till about 4. Coho were on fire no stop action, multiple double headers. Lots of un clipped fish but we came home with some nice hatchery at the end of the day.

25 to 45 on the riggers with a twisted sister and anchovy in a green teaser head were the ticket today. Out fished everything else.

We headed out yesterday around noon - fished cowan until about 3 and boxed 3 clipped coho, released 4 unclipped plus a few shakers, lost a few- white squirt 35-45
Then we peeled over to camp byng and went through a pack of anchovy quick- several pin pops that didnt stick/ stripped- lost a good one- doh released a 9 lb unclipped fatty- 1 undersize some grill, couple other unclipped- had a big stretch to ourselves- saw some boats mid straight- got me wondering what was goin on out there….

Anyone fished the Hump lately? I believe it’s in 29-2 if I’m correct.

The hump south of Bowen is in 29-3. Coho open there, springs not til Sept 1
10-4, has any one fished McCall Bank between Gowler and Halibut Bank?

There a big RCA out there. But yes it's very productive at times. Id say right now anywhere is a safe bet for fish.

Check the area map here. There are two big RCA out there

Put in a solid shift at South Bowen. Kept it shallow between 25 and 35. Good hit early at Seymour on the white hootchie. Nice scrappy hatch about 8:30am. Some good hits but too small or wild over the next few hours. Next one came just before Tunstall just after making the turn back at about 11:30. That was on the anchovy. The hootchie, biggest, and bait got pretty even action. There is a lot of muck out there even at that depth so checking the gear often was necessary. Two chunky hatch coho to show for our efforts. Great day.
