2025 OFFISHALL Vancouver- Howe Sound-Sechelt Fishing Reports Thread

we get lots of them here. only way is to keep trap submersed and gently lift the eel out of the trap underwater. tough to do with a high gunnel boat. fresh water breaks the protein down, so if your traps get the ol hawktua, then blast em out back on the dock if possible.
That was the only time I experienced one. I decided then to not bring my traps with me next time

Sweetjim, thanks for breaking the silence. If I may ask, did you get your lings trolling or just simply jigging for them?

Any ho reports from Howe Sound?

np i actually like just doing a natural drift with a imiation fresh water burbot behind a spreader bar drop it down to the bottom let it hit bottom bring it up a few clicks then put the rod in the rod holder and wait for it to bend over its actually lazy man fishing works great
