2025 OFFISHALL Vancouver- Howe Sound-Sechelt Fishing Reports Thread

Where abouts did you try TMan? Last year (March) I trolled that point between bedwell bay and jug island and got a 17lb spring on a 602 4" Tomic plug. He hit within 5 minutes of getting the line wet. So naturally I tried all the rest that day, all next day, and a day or two later and got nothing before giving up on the area. :)
the very very very odd chinook follows up the small amount of herring that spawn up there every year. Keep running to the harbour

For sure... the troll in Indian Arm that day was due to unfavorable weather in the harbor, free time and a boat that lives in Reed Point. I was surprised I found one.
we used to get the odd fall white off kinder morgan before trans mtn put in that massive fence / new facility . They had a net pen there i believe , fish that had no natal streams so would mill around there/barnett marine park in sept/october. not all that long ago.

I trolled Jug to Cates Park. Was hoping the herring were moving in. I had heard hope that the stock was rebuilding. And if there were numbers, there would be fish. But there was not much there for us on Sunday.

Fished Defence for the first time. Not much bait around. Most small bait balls were closer to surface. Found a couple nice fish. One by Defence and the other on the way back to Porteau in120FOW. First fish on black glow flasher and 6 inch glow cop car. Second fish was on white glow hootchie with white glow flasher. Ripped it off the clip!!! Flat calm. Beautiful day!

Beauty! Our new member @Mikep081926 isn't going to like this report! LOL

Had an opportunity to cross the straight and go to Thrasher. Amazing conditions for crossing. Dropped lines at 9am along the contour as suggested and got into two Chinook within 10 minutes of each other. Basically near bottom in about 180 FOW. I used the AP herring spoon 3 inch as was suggested previously and both fish came on that spoon. The no bananas got a little shaker which we released. First was just legal and the second about 66 CM. Great day out!
