power is out, as per bc hydro outages page. I’d be checking with the nook, directly, if possible. Unless pumps are set up for genny’s, fuel is gonna be an issue. Also locals might not be overly keen to welcome visiotrs right now

I have a friend that is staying at poet nook. As we speak, he emailed me and said, there is no water, no power. china creek has been evacuated.The chances are we won't be able to get up the road.

We are booked starting today............... Even if we could get there, there's no power. Taking minimal gear and provisions in the boat down the canal does not thrill me in the least. I wonder what the cancellation policy is?

I'm betting they are wrong looking at the actual route. That route is quite a way south from the fire atm (like 25-30km) (I actually didn't realize the route was so far south...tis a good thing).

Just talk to jennifer at poet nook, there is no access in or out.This is as of10:30 am if you are booked at poet nook, it looks like we have a credit as we do for next year or a refund. I'm p***** there is no lightning. probably another man made fire fools
