Fishing was been pretty epic up here. I stopped taking count how many chinooks/coho we caught honestly.
Usual spots are fairly good. Fished Friday till Monday in Port Derby. I had such a great time that it is going be annual thing to wrap up the season. Very well run derby.
The size on chinooks are between 10 to 14lbs mostly but there are bigger out there. Fished the Wall, Assits, Pill, Whittlestone, Beale, Kirby, Sanford and Robbers.
Too be honest yet again the UV white hootchie and UV mini turds were fire. Same with 602 plugs. Plugs someday would completely out fish a slow area.
My best part this trip was spending time with daughter, and learning how good she is with netting..
It really is important for us to pass this passion we have to younger generation. Pretty proud on Sunday night she netted a 21lb chinook at Sanford and did everything right. What a way to end the season up there....
I also had the pleasure of watching her reel in first 10 lb salmon ever. Way to go kiddo.
