Check out Windy for your weather. You’ll be happily surprised. Off shore might be a little rough but the sound is going to be nice

I can't say that I know what a semi barbless hook is. Best it is fully barbless when fishing up here.Hello all, new to the forum as I’m headed up to Bamfield for the first of many trips I hope. I’ve started using Maruto semi barbless hooks. They’re legal here in the U.S West Coast barbless fisheries. They’re a little thicker than Gamakatsu. They’ve worked really well at Westport the last few weeks. Hopefully, when I get up there next Tuesday I can put the map to all the reports on this forum. Thanks for the info. Tightlines
After checking out the Maruto hooks, they look perfectly fine. REMEMBER , the whole idea of barbless hooks is to be able to release juvenile fish without damaging the fish. So it would still be an issue with some of the gung ho DFO cowboys. I'd use them if I had them and gladly go to court if need be. Hope the reports improve as I'll be in Bamfield on Tuesday! Good luck everyone !!I can't say that I know what a semi barbless hook is. Best it is fully barbless when fishing up here.
I'm pretty sure you'll get a fine for using those in Canadian Waters. I wouldn't use them. Those hooks will certainly do more damage to a fish when you release it. Isn't that a good enough reason to not use them.Hello all, new to the forum as I’m headed up to Bamfield for the first of many trips I hope. I’ve started using Maruto semi barbless hooks. I'll be up there from Thursday to Sunday if you want to chat.I’ll be heading up this weekend for our yearly trip. Same time every year. Seems we always make it during the week of heavy rain. It has helped in the past move fish inside and clear out the bloom. Hoping the inside starts picking up![]()
