The OFFISHAL Vancouver 2011 Reports Thread

No longer a sticky? That's ok. If the hate is on for Vancouver, that's fine. We were the last place on the coast having a wicked Chinook fishery...which could potentially still "come on". Fished the Cap for a short while tonight, no bites for us. Heard an unfortunate guy getting sealed...that's it. Chilly out there.....

Keep up the posts in order to stay at the top. I enjoy reading your posts boys, keep 'em up!

DHA.

Just talked to a local regular who saw 2 fish hooked and both got sealed. They are getting sealed out there faster than they can say "F*CK!".

Any of the local yokels fishing this weekend? Maybe I'll give it a dredge...

I'm out tomorrow at the crack of 10ish

Should be out Sunday a.m. for a couple hours ... with a slingshot in hand (did I say that?).

was out for a while today, did a quick troll from pt Atk to cap and back, 1 hit and miss, was a little lumpy at times, didnt see any nets going up and radio chatter said most were undersize
did see a few jumping closer to Pt. Atkinson and some around the corner by passage not sure what they were maybe Chums???
dropped the prawn traps and only pulled up 30 between 4 traps on a 2hr soak,
not very good for us today,
anyone care to divulge in some good prawning spots mine seems to be drying up:) I'd be very much appreciative
pm me if you like
Thanks Tim

I was out today, hardly a sniff. one shaker at the bell buoy. I didn't bother with the north shore. but it sounded pretty dead on the radio. I thought I'd scout fir some chums and see if I could get any to bite. on the way out I noticed a pack of about 8 seals by the first mile marker. So, I throtled back to check the sounder. Sure enough lots of fish showing, finding them was the easy part. Getting them to bite, quite another. Only a few jumpers, but there definitely hanging off Spanish banks. Now if only the damn things would bite.

Let us know if you manage to scare up some Chumly.

Damn fine day on the water, fish or no fish.

Definitely fish around! Get out and fish. Beautiful weather out there! The boat I was on caught fish today! :D

Was out on Sunday, with about 10 other boats, fished from 7-12, with nothin. I did see 1 nice fish landed, a really nice mid twenties CHROME spring, but it seemed pretty slow.

slow for us on sunday as well.. not a single bite. Saw 2 fish hooked all morning, one of which looked decent but was nabbed by a seal.

I had hopes for Sunday a.m. after dropping by Pacific Angler to pick up some anchovies Saturday and hearing of a Saturday a.m. tripleheader (FM - I am assuming that was on your boat).

Anyways, Sunday a.m. was also slow for me also with two good hits, one of which stayed on long enough for me to do a really good job of losing it.

Yep, it was on my boat. Check your PM.

Caught a big heavy feeder which was just under the legal length 10 32 am Monday . Would rather not say what we used for bait but we caught at VGM .The wife gave birth to our strong, healthy baby boy , 22 inches long at 10 .5 lbs . LOL. We should have the big guy fishing by the time south bowen rolls around. Good luck at the last cap fish guys. See you Nov 5, or maybe out for winters and prawns here and there.

Let me be the first to say
Congratulations enjoy this time it is priceless and is over before you know it
Best report yet, my guess for bait and in keeping with the salt forum would be Oysters and ouzo
