Seasport skipper 19 podding project

And they are big azz boats needing lots of power
Yessir, they are beasts that need lots of ponys. The transoms are only glass layups. Not structure, no push pull stiffness. Beamy. Wicked boats. Big job podding one of them.

Can they make the hatches all the same as the one for the old engine bay? Custom with the water trough or whatever you call it?
I think that is how we need to go. For some reason they were thinking hatches for the two side areas as they were smaller. I had them enlarge the one side as I thought it would be good for a fish box. I do t like those hatches he got so I think it’s better to go with what you’re suggesting.

It might be tough to tie into the drain channel that is there, but the look like they can figure it out. The 24 have drain channels under each deck board, which is nice. They still leak a bit into the hatches, though.

I’ve managed to sell most of the items that have come off the boat. Sold the kicker, nautamatic autopilot, duoprop leg and housing, kicker bracket, the transducer that came with my new Lowrance HDS Pro9, swim grid. All sold on Facebook marketplace without any hassles. Sure seems to work well for selling used stuff.
I still have the 4.3L v6 engine. Other things I haven’t sold yet because I haven’t listed are as follows:
-the boat leveler trim tab hydraulic system comes with pump/ reservoir, rams and tabs 11”x14”. Not sure what to ask for this.
-Lowrance hook7 gps/fishfinder with transducer. Thought it might be good for an extra screen but still undecided on that.
If any of these items interest you please make me an offer. I’m very negotiable 😊
PS almost forgot that I just listed my engine cover. It’s in the buy and sell string on this forum.

Since you have them anyway, not a bad thing to have two screens. Like yours, mine is a 19 ft, and I find it beneficial especially when jigging. I'm standing stb side aft, where I can reach the kicker controls, frequent glances forward to see sonar. Large screen in centre of dash is much easier to see whereas GPS screen is obscured by steering wheel. Similar situation when I'm prawning or crabbing. But when I'm running, the screen right by the steering wheel is easy to see. It usually displays GPS with all the engine data overlaid.

Looks like a good setup. I’m thinking I could put it outside the cabin door starboard side just under the roof line. I don’t want to hang its transducer off the transom though. I’m going to go with a thru hull tranducer on the new hds pro 9. Can you run two screens off one transducer?

Yes, network all of them together. I run 3 off same transducer.

Yes, easy plug together networking. Select data sources, such as sonar signal, engine rpm and temp etc in both MFDs.

Work starting again after the Xmas break. Hatches are much better than the plastic access that had been suggested. In fairness, they were trying to save me some money but I wasn’t going to be happy with them.

Looks Great! Were they able to tie the hatches to drain out the scuppers?

Those are nicely built hatches/gutters. Are you not going to have an access panel for the fuel tank?

There will be two access holes to get at the fuel tank fittings. Deck above the tank will be sealed in. If it ever needs to be removed down the road it will be a cut out job.
