Good question, I’m not sure. They seem to be resting in front of the motor mounts which are coming out. What are the little blocks of wood for in the back? Is that to hold the new plywood in place?

At .090 and 33 years old, I was sitting on a ticking time bomb. Ignorance can be bliss but not very smart. The tank will be subject to stresses as the fuel moves around inside it’s not unheard of to blow a baffle out. Your tank is small I wouldn’t think that would be an issue but just something else to consider. I build tanks and wouldn’t (I actually just flat out refuse) to use 0.125” its the most dangerous and critical part of your boat the difference in material cost is so minimal -$100 or less. You are correct that 0.90” is the minimum.
Specs are listed in abyc h24 (gas) and h32 (diesel)
Should an aluminum fuel tank have a ground tab welded onto it? My new tank doesn’t have one that I can see from the pics. Should I have one added? My old tank had one.
Thanks for this, probably why my tank lost its ground, and I could not see a ground strap coming from the tank. (tab is there though) I added one separate.Pretty Sure you want to ground the tank, but your builder might be planning on the grounding happing through the sending unit.... I would want a dedicated ground
Progressing really well,it'll be nice having all that storage in the cockpit. I just bought the same "Hitchins" strait line sander he's using to get your transom flat more or less. Should save me a lot of time trying to fair things in.outside transom is starting to look good. They did put a drain hole at the bottom of the V. The factory one was 3 or 4” up the side of the v and was basically useless.

I'm well past my "Best before date" now.You could start a side busines
No drain trough on deck over the fuel tank. That will be a removable screwed down portion of the deck, similar to before.Just looking at your pictures it doesn't look like there's enough room to install the drain trough inside your tank area to make the tank removable. Is the plywood in the bilge just temporary till you decide how you want it? You'll need a bilge pump down there even with a self bailing deck. I'm sure they will give you good options on best way to do it.
I always believe in 2 pumps…. I had 2 pumps in the greasy hole prior to the engine pull. A big one and a small backup.I always believe in 2 pumps…. Just in case
Agreed. One full auto, powered direct from battery. Second one through a dashboard manual/auto switch. Pumps are cheap compared to, well, you know.I always believe in 2 pumps…. Just in case
