Because it looks awesomeTrotac and the gdp of Canada thank you! Why did you go with black bumpers? If I could do it again I’d go all white, especially if I drop one in weather and have to find it again, or more likely forget a prawn buoy and have to use it!
All that’s missing is blood and scales. Looking forward to the maiden voyage report. That was the old pic.
Now it has a black seat and you can eat off the floors, even got under the transom storage and cleaned the bilge and gunnels etc.
It’s back to it’s showroom state.

The neighbors riggers and reel?View attachment 109290Better!
Turns out the riggers and mr3 are going back as I think it’s the neighbour’s.
Sooo I’m looking for a good deal on downriggers if anyone knows of any.
I’m also gonna go worth the black TMX 5’s tomorrow as I don’t have to budget for multiple islanders.
Good question. When I talk to him, he said it was only a year or two old. It turns out it’s a 2021. It’s got five hours on it and I think the gas has been sitting for about two years. He had the kicker in for one servicing, a year and a half ago, but they didn’t do the impeller then. It’s still like the idea of it sitting for so longWhy a new impeller - isn't it only a 1 year old motor? Likewise, if you are concerned about the fuel, just syphon it out, throw on a new fuel filter and you are good to go.
Instead of running it on muffs, just empty out a big garbage can and fill with water - better test for the impeller.
I would do the same preventative maintenance as you are; it isn't the age of the impeller, it's the sitting that would concern me. Purging the gas and filling with new gas is a small hassle to prevent a potential big one as well.Good question. When I talk to him, he said it was only a year or two old. It turns out it’s a 2021. I have the same motors on my boat. I replace the impeller on the main engine every 2 years, regardless of the hours. It’s a relatively easy thing that you can do yourself and save a lot of hassle. For the kicker, I’ve pushed it to every 3 years as it gets good use during the season. Make sure you replace the Racor filter and add a can of Seafoam for the first outing. I’ve noticed that the main motor isn’t really that sensitive to old gas but the kicker really doesn’t like the gas that’s been sitting for long esp. if there’s no stabilizer in the mix. You’re gonna love those motors.Good question. When I talk to him, he said it was only a year or two old. It turns out it’s a 2021. I'm sure the neighbour is not much of a Stizzla fan right now lol.I would see if the neighbor wants to sell his reel and riggers. Knock on his door. LOL!
