Cuts of meat on sale

I will also need a Prime Rib for Christmas.
I was talking to a friend at Thrifty Foods and he said they will be having the same Prime Rib sale (25% +10%) they had two weeks ago and it will be just before Christmas. I sure hope he wasn't pulling my leg. Have to wait and see next weeks flyer.
I hope they still have this weeks sale of oysters for $1 next week too
You're telling me that they had a 32.5% off sale and you didn't tell us?!

Sorry about not posting anything but I'm not in the country and only checking the flyer while sitting in the sun doing nothing.
It is not 32.5% off but better, 25% off and an extra 10% for insane (scene) members.
The Thrifty flyer was Dated Nov 28 to Dec 4. 2024

That is a great deal and I sure hope they put the sale on again so I can pick up a couple roast. Prime rib (prime or AAA) is averaging $50lb Canadian in Hawaii. Choice meat is cheaper but not that tender, marbled or flavorful. AB grain finished beef is best.

Check your Thrifty flyer Dec 19.

Ah the way you worded it sounded like an oddball way of processing it. I was mostly joking, but the math checks out. 25% "AND THEN" 10% would be 32.5% off the original price... nevermind.

Save On has AAA Prime Rib for something like $35 per KG but it's all cryovac packed 1kg-2kg chunks. Looked lame. Butcher said they won't be getting in large pieces anymore because people just weren't buying them.

AAA roast %35 off starting tomorrow- for your Christmas dinner with your beloved in-laws!

They also have Striploin steak on-sale for 35% off until end of today. I picked up a few thicker ones and it came to $14/piece for nicely marbled steaks.

So $55-35% $37.75kg

Divided by 2.2

So that’s about $16.25 a pound

Gas $1,60l, roadkill FREE
