Jughead Shakers

Id like to fiddle with a few different ideas this summer using jugheads, but can only seem to find the nanos or small jugheads for sale online.

Seems like about 10 years ago there was a bunch of hype around them and then within a couple years they had all but vanished.

There are a few old threads on here from the creator of the jughead talking about prototypes and testing and all that good stuff, but his facebook page is gone, his website is gone, and he doesnt post here anymore as far as i can tell.

Did DFO mismanage jugheads into extinction? Anyone know the story? Or how to get ahold of the guy?

Thanks in advance!

Yah thats a small jughead I believe. Currently on sale at harbour chandler for like 3 bucks prerigged. Having trouble finding any larger sizes though. The youtube channel associated with jugheads has a bunch of videos with sizes from S-XL

Peter was his name. Spoke with him once and super nice guy. Maybe someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought I heard
something about selling to Gibbs? Check their website. Just checked, they’re online on Gibbs. Took them over perhaps.

I’ve ran them for coho. Don’t use them anymore.

They're meant for Fast Trolling and light colours (read White hootchie) work best.

These work better-available from Supertackle in Nanaimo

I have one or two large ones in the basement somewhere. I can mail them if I find them.
I think my plan was to butterfly a herring to get the spine out for extra wiggle then pin them in the Jughead.
I remember the creator having some chemical issues and a swollen face.
A kid could take one to school and have a few made in the shop class 3D printer nowadays.
I had a hard to find stern light lamp made that way once.

Yeah I have a few different ideas for them, most of which dont involve a hootchie.

Kinda went down the sfbc wormhole and just thought it was strange the guy went from updating his design journey to nothing. Hope hes doing alright!

I would gladly accept any jughead donations for my weirdo experiments, and also any reasonably priced ones!

I ran these for a bit. They never seemed to make a noticeable difference. I liked the action with them though.
