Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

Id be weary of that Almar, same seller as that junky whaler. Both look like they are storm boats from florida and probably salvaged and re floated. Neither have canadian numbers either so I'd be surprised if they were imported properly.
One thing for sure is I ain’t buying any of them 😂😂, both could become decent boats after spending 100k plus, no thanks, I miss the days when you could spend 20k on a used boat that could float for a few years

@kaelc - speaking of bad deals, I've seen this welded centre console for sale for years. Its such a bad deal that it almost feels like a troll. Ugly boat, bad layout, seemingly no flotation, underpowered/ancient engine, $38k (USD)

This one is an oddball for sure. I've also seen it on Pacific Boat Brokers website for years.

I only recently looked at the specs and noticed that it's listed at 30ft long!! Somehow in the pics it only looks like an 18-20ft boat.

They sure have some ugly duckling listings. With pricing all over the place! They are out to lunch on this C-Dory 22 https://www.pacificboatbrokers.com/used-boats-for-sale/PF6014/fiberglass-c-dory.asp

This listing they have might be a gem? 22 aluminum for 98k cad https://vancouver.craigslist.org/nvn/bod/d/vancouver-2023-custom-aluminum-build-bc/7800390173.html

I saw 30ft as well and call BS. There is no way that thing is bigger than 18-20ft

27 Whaler - Back on the market - 109k CAD

This one looks to be in better shape ;)

No trailer. It's like a woman on Tinder wearing makeup in all her photos saying, no makeup included. Nice to see that power hanging off the stern.

Interesting aluminum centre console with almost new power. Seems like a reasonable price - no way you could get anything like this built for anywhere close to the ask. You could quibble that the level of construction is more on the 'work boat' side - but frankly, its a nice boat.

Hull looks kind of like an adaptation of Lifetimer's Offshore centre console (the inner truss rail is a bit of a signature). Perhaps built by an ex-employee?

this is a north king lodge ex guide boat. i have pretty much the same thing. bought for 12k, sold the yammy on it for 2k. put a 90 suzuki on it for another 13.. so i am into it for 23k, added a 2800 trailer.. how is this 55k? holy crap!

Death knell for the proposed Hourston projects?

Looks like it's done. Or maybe they will continue with the larger boats. I wonder whatever happened to their new Heritage Boats brand?

I don’t think that merc 50 will push a 30’ boat very far…

Update. It appears Stewarts Yacht Renovations had previously bought the mold to continue to make boats (for Sewell's?). But now that they have begun to wind the rentals down, they are selling off the 17' mold. Anyone else have some news about this?

Scroll down this link to see the part about building these for Sewell's:

Too bad. Pedder bay used to have them for rentals too but with a shorter salmon season an roi on them would be difficult. Not sure if they will have them for 2025 or not? Sad to see these companies carved up but not many manufactures seems to make under 18 footers anymore. Silver streak seems to be an exception but only open? and Stabcraft whose YouTubers do a great job marketing their 14 foot opens https://www.silverstreakboats.com/used-boats/

It does seem that's the direction the industry has gone. Not enough profit in the smaller sizes? I thought Heritage had just the larger Hourston molds - 20, 23 and 26. 16 months since we heard anything from R Dale of Heritage boats -- not feeling like they will be making any boats. Makes mine a collector's item.

I love the weird and wonderful stuff you find on craigslist. One man's vision: Boston Whaler, obscure/overbuilt sub-model, overpowered, tiller style. I kind of love it.

Also, I have literally no idea where this listing is. Showed up on seattle craigslist, location listed as west vancouver, map location says Pitt Meadows...
