Yeah my thoughts exactly. Most of the Chinese builds have a narrow build to fit in a container. If they are over 8 feet they have to go on the top deck for much more $$$ in shipping cost.But is it? The plans are from this site:

You're 100% right about the beam. Guess I'm wrong. Design looks bit odd and the welds don't look great at a glance.But is it? The plans are from this site:

Confusing, as as it has 2 model indications. 2052 was the stern drive model, that is an original outboard version (not podded) so it would be a 2002 model. (coincidentally it could also be the year))Log into Facebook

85 hours must be a rebuild?
Looks like it’s been a dingy or island hopper for a larger vessel/yacht. Has the RVYC tag right above the swim platform. It could be a 2015 with only 85 hours which isn’t necessarily a good thing for a 9 y/o outboard.
