2025 OFFISHALL Vancouver- Howe Sound-Sechelt Fishing Reports Thread

A highly scientific lure report / test by my 5 years old grandson, we went to bass pro he said PaPaMo lets grab some fishy things and see if the fish like em,
So we did, tried a dozen lures of all the favs, Irish cream no bananas … out of all the hard well know lures the only one that a fish came to check out was the cop car, but hooches was a whole different story, white glow 4 fish hit the glass, blue and white was about 8 fish tried to grab it ,
Spencer will be publishing his thesis reviewed by his piers. Cheers guys

Sandheads gear down around 10. Picked up one spring before the low slack at 67. Got another at 12:30 at 83 then a good bite period kicks off. We got 4, lost a few more, running 67 83 west of the can. Died off around 2:30, couldn’t get back on them. Fished riggers shallower too, hooked a few nice big unclipped coho. Bait and chrome spoons performed equally, I reluctantly let my buddy soak the spoon…it earned its keep

Only 2 tyees in the derby out of 226 fish weighed. Biggest was...hmm I cant remember but around 35 lbs.

Great times was sloppy af on the run from the north shore then our version was it laid down around 10 or so. Messed around for ages then nailed a 19.1 that ran forever and took 20 mins to get into the boat.

Great event here's to next year!

We got 8 springs at SH yesterday. 7 to 1230. Some pinks and coho hitting as well. We were in the derby, so fished mostly bait, 35-70 feet. Biggest was 20.88. Fun day, with a great crew on board. First time doing the dnvff derby. Seemed pretty well organized for the amount of boats and people. Will be looking to do it again next year.

Haha; same with me. Broke the mainline and lost a rig that was just like that last weekend. I have since restrung that reel with fresh main.
Same here, but it was my buddy being and absolute knob and palming it when it wanted to run. A few fish out there dragging gear I guess.
