Thanks! We're a pretty happy bunch, just big kids out on a boat having a good time and soaking up every minute! We're still learning all the time. All the stuff I post should be kid/family friendly.

So who's participating in the Firefighters Charity Fishing Derby on Friday? Looks like it's going to be windy, at least around T10 and Sandheads.

At T10. Winds picking up. Still fishable for now. Less boats today. 20 maybe.

At t10 as well. Current pretty strong all morning so far. Switched from bait to hoochies and have managed to drag up 4 springs so far. Fishing pretty deep for me at 90-110.

And Fisheries is now here boarding boats. I see more DFO on the water than VPD in my neighborhood. Let’s see if we’re boarded 2 times in one week. I haven’t had a traffic ticket since 1993.

Derby day sure looks swirly, giddy up. I've been sidelined all Sept save for one day with on of you lot due to a fiesty mcl flare up. Im going to tape it in 100mph tape and some fibreglass resin and give er! See ya all out there.

Fished T10 to Sandheads on the 16th for 7 hours. Picked up a 16 lb Spring at T10 and fished south to Sandheads. Picked up Spring at SH, circled back around and picked up a second, both 12 lbs. 1 marble & 2 white springs. All Springs on a spoon between 4 and 6:30 pm. Also 1 clipped coho and a number of unclipped. Flash Fly seems to be a real killer on Cohos. Bait still getting grabbed by pinks.

I have totally abandoned the idea of one pattern or system. People including me seem to be catching with every kind of gear(spoons, hoochies, bait, flash flies) and at different depths.

That post just made me think of something. I noticed something has been missing from this thread lately. Not one person has asked "how deep?". Kind of nice actually. Maybe people just started including that in their reports to keep the riff-raff from chiming in. Come to think of it, people have also started reporting if they were reds!!

Great idea with that flexible grate to keep the fish off the bottom and allow the locker to drain. I’m always shifting fish and ice bottles around to allow the dirty water to get to the pump-out drain.
Where did you get that material from?

Both on my last pack of Chovies (3 year old pack). Spoons just aren’t as productive. Caught outside the pack. 50 ft in rigger.
