2025 OFFISHALL Vancouver- Howe Sound-Sechelt Fishing Reports Thread

Nice to see you're having luck in the Deep tack. Last year all my fish were caught in the 3-500 depth. This year for whatever reason I seem to be doing better in the green can chaos. After reading this, next time I go out ill be committed to the deep.
Usually bit of a search pattern for the contour that they're running in on then I stick to that countour +/- 20'

Just an question, are reports on the estuary before the mission bridge listed here anywhere or are they considered fresh water reports?

I would think if Sand Heads is being productive then some estuary fishing should be as well.

I haven't fished from shore on the river except for sturgeon.

Went to use the boat but ended up needing a shutter replaced, might need a raw water pump refreshed and the assisted steering on my Sea Ray is stiff/tight/hard so I didn't get it into the water yet. I also keep it on the Island due to high cost of dry land storage over here so not a lot of time. So it's estuary shore fishing, any ideas?

I think most of the shore access is closed to chinook fishing

Flat calm out here at SH. One wild coho released at the side of the boat. Couple hits that didn't stick. Been out since 930. Not seeing a lot caught yet.
You clearly weren't near me then. It is still for out here. Not finished in an hour fire, but we got ours by 10:30 even after losing way too many. No broken leaders though. I am not experiencing a slow year whatsoever. 50-90 on spoons was best. 175 FOW due West of the green can. Get out here.

Saturday was good to us.......herring was the meat of choice running 75-90ft green. No broken leaders......i will chime in on the leaders.....all my knots get dipped in a bowl of water before the knot gets pulled through.....i use Maxima mono......seems to work better than flourocarbon for me......also run 24ft of top shot mono above the braid, which i believe helps with some stretch and takes shocks to the line a lot better......my 2-cents 😂
