2025 OFFISHALL Vancouver- Howe Sound-Sechelt Fishing Reports Thread

Off of Cowan point this morning. Got into lots of pinks if you're into that kinda thing.
Some big ones in there.
Pinks are fun times for the kids. You also can let them play fish and not worry they are going to lose a nice coho or spring. Looking forward to getting out there when I am back from vacation. My son currently tells everyone he loves fishing (he is 8) this is a great way to reinforce that love, non stop action. Thanks for the report.

I was also out yesterday around Cowan. Had a couple of new fishers on the boat and we had a great time. Non stop action with a few springs , coho and of course pinks before it dropped off around noon. Great learning experience of all aspects for the newbies. Ended up with a keeper coho and a kept some pinks too. White hootchies with green flashers at 50 feet!

Tried SH for pinks, managed to scratch two. Few shakers, got a big spring on a pink hoochie but I don't know the size, guf released.

Crazy net fishery on the way to the SH in the Fraser channel. About couple dozens boats with nets crossing the river.

wow there netting al those big schools of sockeye nets in the river trawlers out there netting them yet no opening for us rec fishers we should be open since apprently biggest run of sockeye since the 90s yet we r on the sidelines if we do get a opening it will be for the last part of the run and it will be just for the scraps good thing we pay for those salmon tags and all the money to help out hatcheries

The pinks sure have arrived. Picked up a couple rookie friends on Bowen yesterday and started near RC. It was a fun day getting them into fish after fish. Managed to sneak a few coho out of the pink army. Good time to get the kids or newbie friends out right now. Had our best action in the 70-90 ft range but they are all throughout the water column

Has anyone been out the last couple of days with the wind? Was planning on going out tomorrow bu again the wind looks to be blowing.

Im lazy and have had my head in the sand, have they opened up west van for chinooks? Never mind, Ill show myself out...
Yes, 28-6 is one slot size per day. 28-9 is one per day, no slot size. Make sure you know. EXACTLY what side if that boundary you are on.
