I'd say to cautious, or smart. Not chicken.190-220' drifting. Haven't tried my anchor yet, I'm too chicken.

Thanks eroyd! Try your anchor in the mud hole first. There's not much to get hung up on.190-220' drifting. Haven't tried my anchor yet, I'm too chicken.
your the man Christoph. Drifted around Constance for 5 hrs Wed without a sniff.A couple springs and a couple halis from Constance today. Glad I took the day off work as the weekend looks to be windy.
I feel your pain with needing a day on the water. Two weeks waiting for a part after my steering cable failed. Latest update was it’s suppose to be here today or tomorrow. If I get it I will be out the first day weather permits. The tug is a drug for sure. The good side is that I’ve done a lot of much needed cleaning of the boat and gear. Good luck out there.Needed a boat day so went out with a buddy from Esq at 11:30am. Tried all my favourite spots and changed up gear often. Put in 6 hrs and not a bite and marked only a few fish. Was a beauty afternoon and managed a few crabs at the end of the day. The tug is the drug and I’m feeling short changed lol.
Tuesday? I marked some fish and bait Tuesday out where the crab boats were laying traps in front of Saxe pt around 8 am, but was unable to get any takers.

Cool boat. Is that a dory or a wherry? And did you build it yourself?Tuesday? I marked some fish and bait Tuesday out where the crab boats were laying traps in front of Saxe pt around 8 am, but was unable to get any takers.

Nice, where abouts you fishing? Good depths? Gear?Up early for a 6am launch Monday and had my pick of parking spots as we were the only ones there. Crab traps down and lines in by 6:12. Was a bit lumpy to start the day but bang, buddy’s rod is off the clip and a hatch was in the tub. Shortly after my rods off the clip with an angry fish taking some line and head shaking and surfacing way back. This reminded me of why I love doing this and the last few skunks were now forgotten. With no other boats around we were able to land our 2nd hatch without clearing the other side by 7am. These guys were both fighting out of their weight class. We’re now on catch n release while the traps soak. 2 more hits, a wild and another hatch then pulled a loaded trap with 6 keepers and home by 11am. The therapy was complete for the day and now looking forward to the next session.
