Not much open until mid July. I'd think you'd want to go out to the cape caution area. I always do really well out that way later in the summer

14 in a few hours the other day by one of the guys from down at TC

14 springs that had to be released? Port McNeill diesel mechanic says they are doing very well up near Cape Sutil where springs can be kept.
That was up at Sutyl

Was up there on June 1, bait was small and fish were around. Not the fastest fishing I’ve ever seen there but by no means slow

Just got home from a 4 day trip. Ran up to Sutil last Friday and Saturday. Did great on springs. Green/white glo hootchie, coho killer spoons, and brown turd hootchie right off the bottom. This one fish had one of the fullest stomachs I’ve ever seen. Fished Duval, on Father’s Day, hoping for a coho bite. But hooked and released 10 springs, in an hour. A couple double headers too. Great first trip to this area. We’ll be back!!IMG_1409.jpeg

Just driving back now from a week in Hardy. Lots of fat springs 12 to 20 pounds. Pretty easy lings as well. Sad to see Scotia Bay is closed. Spent a lot of time there over the years. Back up to Winter Harbor in 3 weeks.

Ill be sniffing around North Island again this weekend, not sure if I will cross to the mainland, depends on forecast. If i can get a good drift ill drop the jigs but the tides and wind will factor on that... will report findings.
