Anyone having success of Lazo point recently?

I was out for a couple of hours last night and it was devoid of any action.

Went out tonight lots of weeds and no bait to speak of. Seen a few bent rods that I assume were mostly unders as they were released boat side.... Threw plugs ,hootchies and spoons at them with no luck

Fished south of Hornby tonight, a few wild coho and one clipped coho, and a 72 cm spring to finish. 220 feet of wire out with white hoochies. Lots of logs and deadheads floating around, careful out there!

Spent a few hours off Lazo today- a few undersized springs and load of weeds.

Lots of boats out at c and b, but we didn’t have any luck yesterday afternoon. Saw very few nets out and no bait. Is kitty producing these days?

Fished the morning tide change yesterday at C&B. Got a beauty 18 pound 79cm fish. Fattest Chinook I have caught this season. Caught on a plug.

Went out to CnB Sat AM. Plenty of action but nothing landed that was a keeper. By 11, it was crawling with boats so headed over to east Hornby. I think there were 3 boats total over there. Same kind of action...lots of shakers...and then one good Coho and I called it a day.

Based on the trolling patterns I see the other boats doing, I can't figure how deep they are fishing? They are not following contour lines. Does that mean they are just going somewhere mid-column and roaming around?

At CnB, there were lots of boats in 300' water.

Fished kitty last night. 3 springs to the boat and 2 shakers. Nothing huge but perfect for the smoker.

Fished south end of Denman Hornby today over the low. 5 shakers but nothing of size. Weed fields were a killer. Looking forward to the big tides settling down.

We had some luck with riggers set at 260 in 330 ft of water… another guy said totally drag the bottom (with 18-20 lb dr weights)… having 15 lb weights, I’d need a bit more braid to get there as the current was really that day!

Pretty weedy in patches.

Fished the evening bite at CNB. We picked up 2 feeder springs and a mature chinook. All had big herring in their stomachs. Bait started to show up around 6pm.

Fished CnB today, used a plug at 200ft and a Purple Haze hoochie at 140ft. Plug did well, got a Chinook and nice size Coho. The hoochie picked up two coho. All at slack tide.
