Ahhh yes I understand the rules, but sometimes those fishes aren't really abundant in that area, was just looking for people's experiences targeting those fish, if they are bountiful or not.

Does anyone here ever bottom fish, I'm wondering if halibut, lingcod, rockfish is typically fished in this area, or if it's more towards Victoria, or port Hardy

Halibut is a "surprize" bycatch. Not often targetted-not abundant. Lings,rockfish,flounder can be caught if you know what you are about. This is a very heavily fished area= The west coast it ain;t. Limits are low for a reason but there are fish here.
