2024 Comox Valley-Comox Harbour, Kitty Coleman, Cape Lazo, Denman & Hornby Islands

At CNB yesterday (Monday) 2 springs and 2 coho plus whole bunch of shakers. Blue Meanie was the star. Tons of bait (krill maybe) at 300 to 400 ft.
Flood tide change? Or earlier in day? We went out around the bumblebees, nothing… bell can, nothing… inside and outside the bar, nothing! Should have went to cnb!

We didn't leave Comox till 11 so was late when we arrived. Wind was up from north and tide was flooding north. A little bumpy. only fished from north to south., Got first fish quickly. Nothing else till high slack and bait showed up. Busy until 7 when we came in............

Kitty Coleman this afternoon, tons of bait and whales. Ended up with 4 coho, 3 hatchery and 1 wild. Caught maybe 30 smaller and released. Skinny G, Trap Shack was hero.

Southeast of Hornby on Sunday, an amazing day. Flat water. Loads of bait. Humpback feeding all morning. Chinook and some coho biting at every depth. Even had a smaller fish hit my hook on the surface before I got it clipped to the rigger. Nice that we can keep two chinook in 14 now.

Was using spoons (green and white color), green UV/glow dummy flasher. Couldn't miss. Haven't seen a better bite day.
