Thanks @Corey_laxLast week we accidently slowed right down to 1-1.5MPH and set the riggers at 35'-40' and had two socks within a couple minutes. That would be a good starting point. This was last week so couldn't keep them.

I didn’t land one Sockeye since Chinook opening. Today we have landed one on bait and 4 on hootchies. In deep water now. Thanks @Corey_lax

Did Jim hack this account? How deep? Thinking about going out today for evening bite.
Looking at my diary- Sep 12 2018 we fished shallow and caught only 1 fish. Dropped to deeper, 75-100’ and caught 7 fish within an hour right before the high slack. In my experience, bites are more frequent in deeper water for the late summer fish. How deep? Thinking about going out today for evening bite.

Yesterday the majority of the commercial boats were all down by SH, I assume that is because they know the fish are down there? Or perhaps their opening is only down that way?Would You guys recommend T10 or sandheads if you only had evenings ..
Hows the quality?Nothing crazy consistent still

Don’t worry. We all learn fromWe picked up a couple scrappy springs eventually and called it. Not the sock fishing we had in years past. We also @Stizzla 'd the **** out of the day unfortunately.
Lost gear:
4 18 lb cannons
7 clips
6 dummy flashers
2 auto stop with snubbers
All started because I wasn't prepared to fish socks and tried to jerry rigging a tuna chord extension with cheap parachord. Then after being lazy again by not setting up auto stops we jammed the next two balls into the rigger and pop! The shame far outweighs the 7 fish in the box.![]()

I was just saying to Marco the other day that I had been fishing on the same gear for over two years. No tangles, nothing broken, rockstar ****. This was payback from the fish gods.Sorry to hear that bud, sometimes happens to all of us.
