Came back Sunday. Put some heat to the cabin. Weather was good. One salmon and enough prawns for dinner. There was 3 commercial trollers in Vernon bay. They were still there when we left on Wednesday. All and all a good trip. Not much sun on our dock so had to be careful.

I didn’t have a ticket but I went down last night and caught a nice spring in the 15-20lb range right at dark and one smaller one this morning . Both on plugs.

fished the derby for the first time with a buddy from port. We got 3 yesterday, 1 today. Biggest around 12lbs. Ran through some absolutely massive bait balls. 3 fish caught on big tomic spoons, no flasher, 1 on a skinny g. Great derby, already looking forward to next year. Many thanks to the organizsers and poett nook, if your reading this.
