Here's a small compilation of our Derby weekend. We ended up taking 9 fish home all between 14-16. We weighed in one fish at about 17, that put us in second for a good chunk of Saturday. After we got bumped out we didn't hook into any more contenders.

Fished the bell and mile markers today. Landed 3 fish (all reds around 15') from the six hits we had. Went quiet for us after the high slack tide. 50' and 30' were both producing.

Bell was quiet tonight, only saw 2 nets out.

Fished Sandheads in the morning from 8 am till around 3 pm. Released a quite a few pinks but no Springs. Moved to Bell and fished there till around 7 30 pm. We got one smaller Spring and some Grills there and only saw one Pink netted there on another boat. Very slow from all the boats we saw and guys we talked to. Creel survey guy was at the launch when we got in and he said he was there all day from 8 am on and only recorded one other Spring come into that dock all day from all the fishermen that came in through the day. He said reports from guys at the Sandheads also said very slow. Looks like that big batch of Springs have pushed on for now.

Sandheads from 530 til dark my old man popped one just before 8pm. Was the only rap we had for the evening

A week ago sunday was a day like that also. Hope it is just a short lull and the wind will blow in another s#×t load

Could someone please turn the tap back in the next hour or so ... heading out this evening for the first time in 10 days and would like to catch a little more than the smoke that is, once again, filling up Vancouver Harbour.

Just got back from the bell. Landed one and lost one at the boat. Both on spoons at 60ft.

7:00-1:00 started from the 2nd marker, Bell, north arm T10 and back to the bell. Only one chinook on a purple hootchy that spat the hook by the boat. Tried herring, spoons and hootchies at different depths. Didn't mark many fish on the sonar at the north arm unlike last time. Big change from a few days ago.

Fished 615pm to 8pm at the Bell tonight. Nothing to show for it other than a nice night out with the much better half. Didn't see anything caught either.
