Whitetail Ribs.
5.5 hours in the slow cooker on low.
Then a fast sear with BarBee sauce.

Served up with Basmati rice topped with gravy made from the juices in the slow cooker and Brussels.
And of course, a fine Merlot!

Never seen gravy rice but I'm all for it!
 
It was suggested by my Lady.
And it was damned GOOD!
All the juices from that 5.5 hour slow cook made it mouth-watering!
Will be doing again...
good evening iron noggin , quick question how are you doing the Brussel sprouts .They look like they have a glaze on them?

Simple. I melt a little butter in the bottom of corning ware dish, toss in the sprouts, cover and shake before hitting the oven at 350.
When taking them out, shake again which covers them in the butter.

Lasagna and Strawberry Cheesecake for dessert.

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 lb (450 g) Italian sausage
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (24 oz each) marinara or tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 16 oz (450 g) ricotta cheese
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 12 lasagna noodles (cooked according to package)
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (extra for topping)

Instructions​

  1. Make the Meat Sauce: In a large skillet, cook beef, sausage, and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Add garlic, marinara sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer on low for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine ricotta, cream cheese, sour cream, egg, Parmesan, and parsley. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Assemble the Lasagna: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Add a layer of noodles, then spread a layer of cheese mixture, followed by meat sauce, and a sprinkle of mozzarella. Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with noodles, meat sauce, and mozzarella on top.
  4. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let rest 10–15 minutes before slicing
