What's for dinner tonight ?

Fish and chips last night. But with cabezon .. Simple Panko batter, Absolutely better than ling done this way. I didnt mention to my wife that the roe is poisonous until AFTER she ate the fish ..... ( I could imaging the questions---" Are you SURE you removed all the roe during filleting ??? " The fish was a nice size -- about 9lbs)
 
Is that mango and cucumber for your ceviche?? Looks great, may need your recipe (spot prawn ceviche is amazing).

Tomato, cucumber, red onion, mango, avocado, cilantro, little bit of garlic, and ling marinated in the juice of 3 limes and a lemon for an hour and a half. Mix it all together. Thinly sliced sourdough baguette, toasted with olive oil, rosemary, oregano and sea salt. So good.

Very nice, this is likely to be the fate of the next black bass that I catch!
 
Finally got around to making some fresh pasta after the touristy but worth it October lesson in Florence. Used some Costco tri-tip for the slow cooked ragu. Probably too much tomato for purists.IMG_20250511_182242488.jpg
