Gave up on QF after JP took them over. Prices too high. Missing stock I used to go there for.

The others are no better. They just don’t give a crap. If what you want is not there they just expect you to get something else that they do have.

Only No Frills (huge line-ups and damn few chashiers) or Walmart as alternatives.

Every Friday we shop at Safeway in the US. It's $5 Fridays and today chicken special was cooked chicken wings and any flavor at the deli at 1lb for $5. There was a line up of 6 people ahead of us but it went fast.
Also every Friday sushi rolls are $5 each so here is our lunch, a crunchy roll, spicy salmon roll and California roll and all this for $15.

Here's a example of the prawns I was catching in the Broughton's one year long ago. Never found any like that again after that trip.

It's $5 Fridays, so for dinner tonight we picked up chicken at Safeway. 4 thighs and 4 legs deep fried to perfection all for $5.
They smelt so good, I had to eat a leg once I got home.

Whacked a couple ducks with my buddy this week. Soaked the breasts in salted water two nights. Replaced the water until it was clear. Seasoned the breasts with some Montreal steak seasoning and into a sous vide at 135°F for 90 minutes. Let me cool down a bit. Tossed a little jalapeño olive oil into a cast iron pan and got it smoking hot. Dang things came out wonderful. Not a hint of the typical duck (liver) flavor.

The mallard was better than the shoveler.
